Well no offense to my indian peeps but yea, my tan is scaryyyy... Like, really scary...
After the camp ^^
Well I was supposed to go for the SUKBEL camp in Kelantan, the SUKBEL is an international Red Crescant camp where other countries like Thailand, Brunei, Pakistan and others (which I don't remember) participate too :) And this year, we had to do a sketch on the history of 'Palang Merah' which was organized by Sir Henry Jean Dunant... Well, here goes, I'm gonna tell you a bit of our history :)
Henry Dunant was a peniaga, like his father.
He sold clothes of fine quality around the world.
One day, he stepped foot on Geneva, where he was met with the Solfarino War between PKM and local soldiers,
shocked, he asked the orang kampung to help the injured soldiers by seeing to them and bandaging their wounds with his clothes that he was supposed to sell.
From this experience, he made this memory into a book called 'Kenangan di Solfarino'. Well, that was only the Konvensyen Geneva Pertama.
For Konvensyen Geneva Kedua,
Henry Dunant was already one of the Palang Merah associates as he organized and joined it.
This convention was on the sea, where the PKM (Parti Komunis Malaya) attacked anyone on the sea, regardless it was people who were fishing, swimming or people on the boat.
When the PKM were shooting people dead, Palang Merah came to stop the war by saving the innocent people. As the Palang Merah have the rights to save whoever who got injured regardless they are of enemy or friend, the PKM had no choice but to turn away on their boats.
Konvensyen Geneva Ketiga
was when the PKM arrested the tawanan perang (other soldiers) and tortured them far from human rights. The Palang Merah stopped the PKM from torturing the tawanan too much as all humans have righteous rights. The Palang Merah released the tawanan and gave them food and drinks. This convention ended when the tawanan were given the right treatment.
Konvensyen Geneva Keempat
happened between orang awam, as in the public people and soldiers...
The soldiers tortured the orang awam by not giving them human's rights (Like food & drinks & proper place to live, etc)
So yea, the Palang Merah came to the rescue again :DDDDD
TA-DAAAA! Finished! -.-''
Okay not really finish finish, but yea, I finished the story :P
Anyway, the first day we went there was on the 26th of May,
It was a Thursday, and I went home to bath and pack and all...
Was rushing like mad though, and dumping all my stuffs needed into a small bag xD
I wanted to minimize what to bring cause it'll be heavy if I don't control... Hahah
Newayz, after school when mummy came to fetch me, she dropped me at the shophouses in front of my house to let me buy whatever I needed :)
I went to the kedai runcit and mini supermarket and 7 E to find a lock for my bag and also some biscuits and snacks to bring along, met Shayma in the kedai runcit when I was buying Crackers :)
She asked me whether I can give her a ride to school later since she's staying nearby,
plus we're both gonna carry big big luggages and all, so I asked her to call me when she's ready later and yea, I rushed home...
Me and Shayma reached school at about 3 plus, if I'm not wrong, 3.45?
Supposedly we have to meet everyone at 4 when the bus is due too, but hor... Malaysian habit...
Everyone came late... Well, not everyone but MOST of them... Bus also gone...
Eh guess how many people went to this Putrajaya camp? only 13 people from our school -.-
This Putrajaya camp is Kem Belia, it's only national level, and every school is required to have at least 40 participants initially, but Puan Sakinah told me that the 'pelajar pinjaman' from Dato Onn and some other dunno what schools couldn't make it at the last minute, so it turned out that we only had a mere number of 13 participants... LOL
Anyway, there were only form five's so yeah, all of us know each other ad :)
We had 5 tents though xD
So yeah, from the right,
1st tent - Hui Xin, Jia Yin, Jing Yen :)
2nd tent - Sharba, Renuka, Kirrthana :)
3rd tent - Sanchita, Logeswary, Shaymabharaaty and me :) [We had the biggest tent so we had more people xP]
4th tent - Yi Shiuan, Leong Su Ling :)
5th tent - Teacher, and well, the LATEST 'PRINCESS' to arrive .___. Adlene
Hmm we reached there around 6 or 7 if I'm not wrong, not all the schools were there yet, thankfully... So there was space for us to set up our tent by ourselves, which was pretty cool, first hand experience for me :DDDDD
And supposedly Adlene was gonna be the leader but she told teacher that she's getting there to the campsite (field beside Menara Suka dan Belia) by herself so when Abg Fahmi asked for a Ketua, teacher said Ker Ikr and I was like, what???
Oh oh, throughout the whole camp, Abg Fahmi, Abg Ibrahim, Abg Putra & Abg Megat were there :) they were the ones in charge and know me la... But Abg Megat and Sha's Aizul were only there for the first day...
After we set up the tent, we had to register and all (It was already night by then)
And the worse thing is they did not have food for us cause the Abg... Err... I forgot his name...
The urusetia did not inform them earlier that all the schools were coming tonight, cause in the program letter they had, the camp was stated from 27th-29th May...
We had dinner - doughnut, curry roll, and a carton of apple juice each :)
My people were sorta complaining bout the dinner, even I was...
So after our meal, we went into our tents to eat our own food xD
Before long, they called the teacher from each school, but Puan Sakinah went back to send both her daughters home cause they followed her from school.
So I had to replace Puan Sakinah to go to Abg Ibrahim. Then he told us about the shortage of food and so on, and they only managed to get a minute number of nasi kandar for us from the restaurant nearby so they're giving only half the amount from the number of school students.
At that moment, Adlene wasn't there yet, but I still told them that we had 13 people. So the Abg brought all the teachers to a van at the back to get rice...
My school got 8 packets though O.o
The moment I manage to take the rice, all the participants were sitting on the field listening to the opening programme speech from Abg Ibrahim. All the other teachers, (like me) had to walk quickly to put the rice in one of the tents and join them there ><
Well, after the speech, they said we can go back to our tents to eat the rice :)
The speech was practically about rules and regulations and brief talk about the camp and introduction to all the instructors there :)
After that, in my tent, I gave them their portion of rice... :)
The rice is a big big big packet one >< And it was warm, so it was nice especially when we were all hungry haha xD
While I was eating, Adlene called (using her mum's phone)
I picked up the phone and told her to get to the main tent, the secretariat tent where the speakers and everything were there and the instructors were still sorting out our registration forms...
Then I brought Adlene to our tent and left her there with a packet of rice...
After our meal, we all had to walk a pretty long way to the 'portable toilets' at the other side of the field to either get changed or brush teeth or what-so-ever...
The toilet was pitch black and the aroma was so damn awesome -.-
there was no water too... As in, the ones before us used finished whatever water that was left ad...
So we had to use the tank water which was outside the toilet to cleanse ourselves...
Oh, and I found out that there was a super large tent with 4 tanks inside, more like rectangular metal baldi with just a few scoops for us to bath. I stepped into the tent and shone my phone light on the water and it was brown... -.- Ugh...
Later, back at our own tent, I changed into my shorts and tee shirt when the speakers came on and Abg Ibrahim said that we're given time til he asks us to sleep to discuss about our performance on the night of performance... Which, at first, all of us thought it would be on the first night...
I was on the phone with him that time and I couldn't really speak to him as the line coverage was weak and it was hectic at the campsite... I umm, cried >< Quarreled with him and didn't want to pick up his phone call after that when Shams brought me to the toilet when I was crying along the way... She picked up the phone for me when I was washing my face and spoke to him...
After that, all our team members gathered outside our tent and we made the decision to do a sketch about the Konvensyen Geneva, which was the one I mentioned just now :)
Later, after the discussion, we all went to sleep...
Shams didn't sleep for almost the whole night cause she said that Sanch, Logi and I were restless when she stopped fanning us...
She slept only about an hour... >< Thanks Shams... :)
So that's about all that happened for the first day, oh, and I was okay with him again <3
